Create Issue Codes, Media Clips and or Text Clips with one simple import
- Previously in Sanction, although you had the ability to create Issue Codes (via the Bookmarking Feature in the Transcript Search) you had to perform three steps to create both your bookmarks, Media Clips and Text Clips. Now with Verdical you can do that in one step.
- With a transcript previously imported into the Verdical Case, if you open up the Reviewer Tab in Verdical you will see both the transcript to the left and your issue codes to the right. Here’s where you’ll be able to create Issues, Media Clips and Text Clips with one single import.
- Like before in Sanction, Verdical keeps a number of the same standards you were previously exposed to; in this instance the Beginning Page.Line + Ending Page.Line. Clip List import will work in the same fashion as you would use in Sanction. If you open a .TXT file in NotePad or WordPad and enter in the Page and Line Number information for your entries, you can create a set of issue codes for a specific topic; then allow Verdical to create your Media and Text Clips at the same time. What you will want to do first is to create your list files, then save the file with the Deponent’s name and the Issue Code you want to use. (This will be helpful for you to differ between Deponents and their respective Issues).
- From the Reviewer Tab selection, create your first Issue Code. In this case call it Plaintiff Designations. With that selection created you will want to check off the selections for Create Media Clip and Create Text Clip and then select the issue code you want to create your entries for.
- After those items are selected, from your Clip List file that you created, simply DRAG-AND-DROP the .txt file onto the Transcript Reviewer. If you haven’t previously set how you want your Media and Text Clips to be named and identified; you can do so by simply right clicking the transcript and selecting ID Naming. When the Clip List is imported, it will generate those Issue Codes, the Media Clips and Text Clips automatically for you.
